Milton Whitaker

Vice President

Milt Jr. was born to a Navy family in 1949, and although raised in a Christian home, he walked away from church when he entered the Navy at age 18, vowing that he would never have kids. However, as he says, in spite of himself, the Lord gave him the most wonderful, sweet hearted woman in the world, Ann, in 1982. After being released from active duty in 1982, he spent 20 years in Federal Law-Enforcement. Milt and Ann came back to the Lord in 1999 when he began studying the Word, leading to drastic changes in his heart and life. After retirement from the law enforcement he has worked as a substitute para-educator with pre-school and elementary Special Ed. kids.  The Lord also used a trip to Nicaragua in 2004 (as he says, he went kicking and screaming) for the Lord to work another change in his heart and he has been involved with the Petra ministry in one way or another since then.

He also leads a weekly bible study and participates in worship ministry. Jacob and Lee Ann have three children: Anna, David, and Sarah. Since 2011, his family has had the blessing of serving the Petra churches in Nicaragua including multiple mission trips and medical clinics.
