Intercession

Pastor Jared

Esclesiates 3:4 tells us there is 'a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance.' As believers, we are filled with a living hope, even as we groan and moan. Yet, why do we often fail to value or support those who are mourning? A significant factor contributing to the mental illness in our society is the lack of tolerance for mourning within American culture. God designed mourning as a mechanism to heal our hearts from the sorrows and pains of living in a sinful world. When we express our heart-wrenching sorrow and mourning fully, it will lead to immense joy and exaltation when we seek refuge in God alone for our hope and salvation.
